Merry Christmas and Happy New year! We hope that the Christmas card and financial report found everyone in good health! Looking forward to seeing everyone at the federations this spring. It has been brought to our attention again that AKC has raised their per capita per entry. ABBA is taking the stance of raising the entry fee to 25$ per entry. There are a lot of clubs that are barely hanging on and don’t need to be paying out of pocket for the entry fee. The clubs that can afford it maybe they do a payback for the places but to keep entry fees fair and equal we ask that all the clubs increase to 25$
IBF INFO:
Hope this finds all doing well.
Want to catch everyone up with what has been going on with the IBF.
Our second raffle ticket just went off Christmas Eve. It was a success and sold out in two weeks. Winner was Chris Smith of Brookville, Pa. First winner on October 25, was Greg Jons of Bakerstown B.C. That ticket also sold out Quickly. Both tickets brought in over $3000 and that with about another 1500 in auctions at the clubs and at the National Brace Trial, totals about 4500 in new money. Our next ticket coming out shortly, but not going off until May at the IBF Trial, will put us at 6500 or so. New ticket will be the same as the first. Choice of a Ruger American Rifle(Or one of equal value} Or 500 cash. Plus if the number reverses a week later, 10,000. cash. two numbers per ticket, $5.00 a ticket, based on the Penna. State 3 digit number. Tickets have really been supported well and a few have gone beyond being generous. Only regret is that many people haven't had a chance to buy or sell any of the tickets, with them going so quickly. Also I would like to take the pressure off the people that have been selling and buying, so if you would like to buy or sell any, please just contact me by text, phone or any other way. Ken-814 541 9970. Thank You so much, makes my job easy.
Now for the IBF meeting held at the National Brace Trial.
Delegates decided to have prize money at the 2026 IBF be $5000. Wow!!! 2000 to the derby class, 2000 to the futurity class and 1000 to the field champions. That's great, but I'd like to see 6000 at least in 2027.
Judges were picked and will be listed in Doc Rudmans report. I have to admit I can't remember for certain, so I don't want to make a mistake.
Lastly, our table auctions at the trials and then our big auction at the IBF have been great, but items are needed, please let me know and I will make arrangements to pick them up.
Cash donations and dues are great and will be accepted 24x7.
Thanks to all for helping the IBF on the road back. Ken
